Confidence through effort
Nothing here is handed out. Confidence at Fight Academy is the by-product of turning up and doing the work, which is why it lasts.
Our story
Founded by a former professional boxer and a local businessman who wanted Coventry to have a club where nobody feels out of place on their first night.
Fight Academy Coventry is a community boxing and fitness gym founded by Michael Green, a local coach, ex professional boxer and former British kickboxing champion, alongside his long standing friend Chris Reid, a local businessman and trained ABA coach.
Their idea was simple. Build a gym that champions the values boxing actually teaches: hard work, dedication, fitness and discipline. Then open the doors to everyone, regardless of age, gender or how fit they happen to be on the day they walk in.
Whether you want to compete, get fitter or simply feel more confident in yourself, there is a place for you here. We are DBS checked, first aid trained, and genuinely committed to using boxing to support people from every walk of life.

What we stand for
Every club says it has values. These are the four we actually coach to, session after session.
Nothing here is handed out. Confidence at Fight Academy is the by-product of turning up and doing the work, which is why it lasts.
Boxing is as good for your head as it is for your heart rate. Focus, stress relief and a place to put a bad day are part of the offer.
Gloves touch before and after. Coaches are listened to. Everyone in the room gets the same respect regardless of how long they have been coming.
People notice when you miss a week. That accountability is the reason our members stick with it long after the January crowd has thinned out.

Juniors
Fight Academy takes great pride in its young boxers. They represent everything we teach and everything we stand for.

Our teenage and children's classes build confidence through fitness, discipline and fun, whether a child wants to compete or simply enjoy the sport. Boxing is outstanding fitness for young people, and it teaches good values and respect along the way.
No one who attends our boxing classes has to spar if they do not want to.
To make progress visible rather than assumed, we designed our own ten stage grading ladder. Every junior knows exactly what they are working towards and what earns the next badge.
